Dodge offered (4) different transmissions with the Cummins Diesel. The A727 was used until 1993. The A618 (47RE/RH) was used from 1994 to 2002. The 48RE was used from 2003 thur 2007. With the introduction of the new 6.7L Cummins, Dodge now uses the 68RFE.
We offer (3) different styles of converters. All of our Diesel Converters are built with Heavy Duty Torrington bearings, Raybestos clutches and upgraged with a High Performace sprag.
#1 Is a rebuilt factory converter.
#2 Is rebuilt with a Billet Front Cover, which stops the cover from balloning. This stops the damage to clutch and allows it handles more load than a factory converter.
#3 Is built to handle High Torque and Heavy loads. It uses a damper that is adjustable to handle up to 1250 ft-lbs torque. It has (3) Three Raybestos clutches and a Chrome-moly turbine hub.
